a mans heart
I am younger than tomorrow But I am older than yesterday I’ve had my share of sorrow So please don’t go away You bring me so much joy today A man’s heart Who can know it? But I love the way you show it In the words you write down In my life . . . I never wore a wedding gown In my youth . . . I knew the truth God’s order before marriage I followed what was in my heart Then I pushed a baby carriage I’m younger than tomorrow But I’m older than yesterday And sometimes I feel like I wasted the years away I used to look in the mirror And wish that I could disappear But too many people needed me here God knows the motives of our heart when we pray He listens to our thoughts we have every day Guess I’ll walk by faith and not by sight I know I will love again when it is right A mans heart Who can know it I just the like the way you show it in the words you write down I just needed to hear What my heart has never heard before Maybe tomorrow I won’t need to anymore I’m younger than tomorrow But I’m older than yesterday I’ve waited a long time to feel this way Loved in an intimate way . . .
