A Holiday Vacation in Latvia

My family and I went on a holiday to Riga, Latvia it is the largest city and capital of Latvia. In case you’re wondering Latvia is a small Baltic country located in the northern part of Europe. When I took my family, we stayed at the Reval Hotel, we loved the fact that it was a restaurant inside the hotel that way we didn’t have to pay for expensive taxi cabs. The hotel rooms was very nice and cozy and the beds was very comfortable. My 6 year old daughter looked forward to the tourist attractions. The first one, we went to see was Pie Mikela, the farmhouse of Maris Berzins and his wife, Elita. This is also a well known tourist attraction. They made us feel very welcome with their smiling faces and warm courtesies and polite service. My daughter could barely wait until we headed to another tourist attraction it was a well known beach resort in Latvia known as the Baltic beach and Resort spa. All the Latvians loved to go there on a warm summers day to swim. Another important attraction was the Rundale Palace and museum, the magnificent 18th century estate, of the ambitious Duke of Courland, lover of the Russian Empress Ana. The museum was very lovely to visit there was several grand rooms open for us to visit. There was two in particular that we saw called the Room of Rose’s and the Dukes bedroom. My husband and daughter really enjoyed this place the chamber rooms was especially lovely to see. The outside of the palace really caught my attention when I saw the beautiful gardens among the canal and hunting park. There was just too much to see it was like a adventure in neverland, our last and final attraction was the Riga zoo it has over 300 animals of none that I recognized especially a wild donkey, that’s very new to me, it seems that it exist only in their country. Otherwise we enjoyed ourselves and had a lovely vacation. If you looking for a vacation with a different scenery this definitely will be the place to go. I hope, I have been some help on your next holiday vacation.
